Hardy Templeton Robinson staff signed up for the recent “Run In The Dark” event in the grounds of Stormont, in aid of the Mark Pollock Trust.
Twenty-nine team members took part in the race, which attracted more than 3,000 runners from across Northern Ireland, in both the 5k and 10k events.
Leading man was Lisburn Director and team co-ordinator Jonathan Steen, who smashed the 10k in an impressive 44 minutes. Jonathan, who has known Mark Pollock since they were 4-year-old schoolboys in P1, says it was a hugely enjoyable event with an amazing energy from all the runners.
“This was an incredible run to be part of, and we’re very proud of all the team who completed the race. Whether participating to get a good time, or for the sheer fun of taking part, this was a great achievement for all our runners for an exceptionally worthy cause, and we’re looking forward to being part of similar events in future,” said Johnny.
Despite freezing conditions and some rain, everyone finished and even managed the obligatory sprint for the last stretch!
