One of Northern Ireland’s longest established and most respected Estate Agencies, Templeton Robinson, who have been taking the drama out of house sales across Northern Ireland for over two decades, have announced a partnership with Belfast’s iconic Lyric Theatre that will support the arts community here, and the innovative and often groundbreaking productions at the theatre.
The south Belfast landmark, where many of our most famous stars including Liam Neeson and Kenneth Branagh have performed, will be supported by a sponsorship deal with Templeton Robinson which financially support artistic activity at the Lyric. The partnership comes as arts organisations here face major funding cuts which have been described as unsustainable at a recent protest event at Stormont.
Beth Robinson, Director at Templeton Robinson said the company are proud to be associated with the theatre, which has been part of Northern Ireland’s cultural community for more than 60 years, as well as supporting the beleaguered arts sector.
“The Lyric Theatre is well established as the home of artistic excellence here, and as such is a well-respected and trusted Belfast institution for theatre goers, just as Templeton Robinson is for home buyers here. We are committed to supporting the arts, now more than ever and with this partnership we are very much a home-grown company supporting local talent at an award-winning theatre” “We look forward to being part of the fabric of the theatre from our exclusive property previews in the foyer, to enjoying the many excellent productions over the coming year that the Lyric is famous for.”
The Lyric Theatre’s Simon Goldrick welcomed the partnership, which he said sent out a message to leading businesses across Northern Ireland“The support of businesses like Templeton Robinson is vital for the continuing success of arts organisations like the Lyric Theatre, which is committed to showcasing local and international talent and promoting the arts here. This is a hugely important partnership, coming as it does at a time of further devastating cuts to Arts budgets, and one which we hope will encourage other businesses to do the same.
“We look forward to welcoming Templeton Robinson to the Lyric for some of our fantastic upcoming productions including the massively popular “Christmas Eve Can Kill You” written by the inimitable Marie Jones, as well as “Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf” which provides a modern take on the children’s classic for all ages to enjoy.”
