Tis the season to be jolly?

‘Tis the season to be jolly?

In terms of the housing market here in Northern Ireland, it often is. Surprised?

Last December and January, Templeton Robinson agreed a total of 146 properties for sale across our five branches.  As many people head out to celebrate the festive period, ardent buyers are often scouring the streets (and our website) for purchases. The way in which people find out about properties being for sale has obviously changed so the market is not as “seasonal” as it was in the pre-internet era.

We always see a huge surge in traffic to our website between Christmas and mid-January. People have more free time and often finally get the opportunity to discuss a potential move with family and friends.  Your property is therefore more likely to capture the attention of those browsing in their down time. There may be more buyers volume-wise in Spring but there is also more competition in terms of other sales.

So, if you are quick and get your property on for sale now, this means it could have greater exposure before the rise in the number of properties – and greater noise – in the marketplace.  If you're ready to sell your property now before Christmas, or just after, book your free property valuation today.

Happy Christmas!
